Delta - Compare Vehicle Condition between Any Two Dates / Inspections

Overview

Fleet managers using ClearQuote app for inspecting their vehicles can now view the history of inspections of each vehicle. Each inspection of the vehicle can be assigned a type (on-hire, off-hire, etc.). Alongside they can see if each inspection has resulted in identification of any new damages vs the previous known condition of the vehicle.


With Delta functionality, Fleet managers can pick any two dates or inspections and instantly see the difference (or “delta”) between the two states of the vehicle - new damages that have occurred during the intervening period and those that have been repaired. It helps fleet manager to track the damages and assess repair cost between between any two handovers (e.g. between on-hire and off-hire/de-fleet, between handover to driver A and return from driver A).


To do this or generate delta, Go to menu and select 'Delta'.





Generating delta between two inspections 

On the Delta page, enter the registration number of the vehicle you wish to view the details of. 



Once you select the desired registration number, inspections against the vehicle are shown on the left, in sequential order according to recency. Users can use the various filters adjacent to "Select Vehicle" field to narrow down the search results, based on User, Date range, and type of inspection (if applicable). 


Here, on each inspection card, relevant data such as Date of inspection, User, and Damage status are shown. Additionally, if you click on the 'Open' button on the inspection card, it opens the inspection in a new tab.


In order to generate the delta between two inspections, from the left pane, please select any two inspections using the checkbox, and click 'Compare'.




View results

Once the user clicks "Compare", the result of the comparison between the two selected inspections are shown. At the top, the two inspection cards are displayed along with a cross icon, which can be clicked to remove/replace the inspection in case the user needs to compare a different inspection.




The comparison result is shown with an overview of the vehicle, with icons around the various zones indicating the damage status. Refer "Review Inspection Report - Inspections with Comparison Details" for more details.



This table details the damage by panel, type of damage, damage ID, and status (New, Existing, No damage etc). Click on any image thumbnail to see a zoomed in view of the damage, along with a ribbon bar at the top listing all the damages on the panel.




Scrolling further, users can see repair estimates for each new damage found. Click on the 'Details' toggle to see in-depth repair pricing for each part.



Share results

The Delta report can be easily shared with relevant parties (hire company, drivers, etc.) with all the relevant details and images by clicking the 'Share' button at the top. PDF report for the same can be downloaded using "Download" button.
