Tread scan in Mobile App:

  1. Access 'Tyre Tread Scan' in the menu bar from homepage

  2. Enter basic vehicle details
  3. Select required Tyre(s) to initiate scan
  4. How to Scan
    1. Position Device:
      1. Keep your device around 20cm (8 inches) away from the tyre, pointing at the left or right shoulder
      2. Begin your scan on the tyre's side that is closer to the vehicle’s undercarriage, and then proceed towards the side facing outward, away from the vehicle
    2. Start Recording:
      1. Press ‘Start’ or use 'Volume down' button. Make a 5-8 second long arc, slowly recording across the tyre tread
    3. Stop Recording:
      1. Press ‘Stop’ or use 'Volume down' button again. You can also let it stop automatically
    4. Wait for Results:

  5. Scanning tips:

    1. Follow Feedback: Pay attention to audio, haptic, and visual cues for proper scanning distance
    2. Start from left or right shoulder and end at the other shoulder
    3. For Front tyres, if scanning gets difficult, adjust their position by turning the steering wheel and try
    4. Unlock Screen Orientation: Ensure that screen orientation lock is disabled
    5. Stable Internet: Ensure your internet connection is stable
    6. Focus on Tread: 90% of the recording should cover the tyre tread
    7. Maintain Focus and Distance: Keep the camera focused and maintain a steady distance throughout the recording
    8. Avoid Other Tyres in Scan: Ensure no other tires are visible in the scan, especially stacked or side-by-side
  6. You can continue scanning all the Tyres
  7. Note
    1. If you don't get results in certain cases, please attempt again
    2. You can delete any result and reattempt
  8. Feedback (Optional)
