How to Check for Fraudulent Inspections

ClearQuote now offers accurate location information, including the address and accuracy of the inspection's start and end points, along with the locations of captured images. This feature will help you verify if the inspection took place in the designated area, making it easier to identify potential fraud.

To view the location details of any inspections, click the "location" button available on the results page.
Location details include the address and precision of the location for the inspection's start and end, as well as for all the captured images.

How this is Beneficial to You

This feature allows you to verify if the inspection was carried out where it was supposed to be. If any of the locations is not in the designated area, it could indicate a possible fraudulent activity. You can use this information to identify fraud inspections and take appropriate actions.

What Changes in the App for Users?

  • When starting their first inspection, users can decide to share their location precisely (within 20 meters) or approximately (within a 3-kilometer radius), with precise location being the recommended choice for better results
  • Location permission can be made optional or mandatory depending on the requirement
  • If its made optional, users can use the app even if they don't grant this permission. If its made mandatory, then users need to compulsorily grant location permission to proceed with inspection
  • Everything else on the app remains unchanged
